Your browser, your choice
Cookie Notice
A straightforward account of browser storage used on this housing guidance website and the choice available to visitors.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text records a website asks a browser to retain. Local storage is a related browser feature that can remember a value without sending it with every page request. We use a local-storage value to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies. Rejecting does not block housing articles, contact details or the enquiry form.
Storage currently used
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
serviceLabcore_cookieConsent | Remembers “accepted” or “rejected” so the banner does not reappear | Until you clear site data | Service Labcore (essential preference) |
We do not currently set analytics or advertising cookies. “Accept” records permission, but it does not by itself activate an analytics service. If optional analytics are introduced, this table and notice will be updated and analytics will load only after consent.
Public media and third parties
Pages request fonts from Google Fonts and photographs from public image hosts. Those providers may receive an IP address, browser details and referring URL, and may apply their own storage according to their policies. Service Labcore does not use those requests to build advertising profiles. See our privacy notice for international-transfer information.
Managing or disabling storage
Use browser privacy settings to inspect or remove site data. Clearing serviceLabcore_cookieConsent makes the banner return on the next visit. Blocking all local storage means the preference cannot persist, so the banner may appear again; the rest of the site should continue to work. Browser help menus usually place these controls under Privacy, Site Data or Cookies.
